Substitute for the Deputy Chancellor of Justice Petri Martikainen

Petri Martikainen has served as the substitute for the Deputy Chancellor of Justice since 2019.

Martikainen is holds a title of Licentiate of Law (University of Lapland, 1999) and Master of Laws trained on the bench (1998). 

Martikainen has been the Head of the Department for Legal Supervision since 2007. Before this, he worked at the Office of the Chancellor of Justice as the substitute for the Deputy Chancellor of Justice (2017), Secretary General (2017 and 2019), Referendary Counsellor (2005–2007) and Senior Legal Adviser to the Chancellor of Justice (2005). Before his work at the Office of the Chancellor of Justice, Martikainen has worked as a Senior Lecturer at the Police University College (2000-2005) and as a Prosecutor in several different Prosecution Districts.
